Owen, a young dance student from Cornwall, downloaded our Critics Notepaper from the Armchair Critics section of the website and emailed us his review of NDT2. Take a look.
What Company and Programme did you see?
NDT2 – Postscript, Simple Things, Minus 16
At what venue?
Hall for Cornwall Truro
What inspired you to see this performance?
The description in the Hall for Cornwall programme. The images shown of the dances and how skilllful and flexible they are and I like dancing.
What was your favourite piece in the programme and why?
Postscript. The music by Philip Glass was brilliantly danceable and had lots of repeated patterns. The dancers had flexibility with supreme elegance and great control on stage.
What particularly impressed you about this programme?
The excellent choreography kept it going, making the dancers active all the time. And the music was brilliant and tuneful.
Why do you enjoy going to this particular venue?
It’s got a brilliant auditorium and excellent views down to the stage. It’s an excellent venue for dance (quite a big stage). I’ve danced on it one time and found it easy to dance on.
Many thanks Owen!
